Ethiopia is a country with a population of more than 120 million with an estimated 25 million Evangelical believers and strong national churches. But there are still more than 32 unreached people groups in Ethiopia. The need for mission mobilization in order to awaken the body of Christ and reverse the direction of the church towards reaching the unreached in Ethiopia and beyond is a task that should not be our second priority but rather the primary focus. Mission Mobilization Ethiopia is a ministry that was founded to play a part in awakening the body of Christ in Ethiopia to join in the movement of discovering God`s global call to take the gospel to reach the unreached people groups within Ethiopia and beyond.

The majority of Evangelicals in the Ethiopian church consist of the younger generation which is advantageous for mobilizing them into a mission force. That is why many institutions have placed Ethiopia “6th” globally in potential sending capacity. But if we do not know how to work towards accomplishing this and become a blessing to the nations, then our sending capacity alone does not make a difference. It is the strong desire of Mission Mobilization Ethiopia that the time for the church of Ethiopia to take the baton has come. Ethiopia is located in a strategic location on the global scene. This should be a wakeup call for the Ethiopian church to become a mission-focused church.
